Cresap's, at the old town on Potomack river, Maryland, October 31, 1750, continued down the Ohio, within 15 miles of the Falls thereof; and from thence to Roanoak River in North Carolina, where he arrived May 19, 1751; undertaken on the account of the Ohio company, and by the instruction of their committee."
